Introducing Dries Van Noten to Hero Shop
To know me is to know I am a Dries Van Noten fanatic. As an editor at Vogue, each time I went to Paris for fashion week, I made sure to set aside a few hours to dream, experiment and shop in his beautiful store on the Seine. His colors, his tailoring, the quality and the construction of his fabrics, his prints...I’ve been hooked on the Belgian designer’s work for decades and still wear pieces from 15 years ago that look as relevant today.
But what I love about Dries is more than just his designs. It’s that he works exactly as he likes, at his own pace, and outside of the fashion spin cycle, in Antwerp where he tends to a sublime English garden. I once interviewed him about a perfume collaboration he did with perfumer Frederic Malle and he said he was inspired by the aroma of Belgian waffles. Is this not a person we all can love?
The point is, I couldn’t be more thrilled to bring Dries Van Noten to Marin. The first signs of his spring collection are at Hero Shop and they’re a sublime mix of bright botanicals, subdued artistic abstractions and, as always, exquisite tailoring. I invite you to come shop with us in store and see for yourself. I can’t promise to not keep waxing lyrical about why it’s what I’ll be wearing all season—and for years to come.
See you soon,
Emily
