Founded by Susan Kim, My Dear Tejas focuses on leather jackets and accessories, designed in Northern California and meticulously crafted by Texas artisans. Inspired by the Native American word “Tejas,” meaning friend, their design approach reinterprets the traditional fringed buckskin jacket into a refined, elegant deerskin silhouette.
The Richards Fringe Jacket in Dark Forest is crafted from hand-patched deerskin, with each jacket finished with individually hand-cut fringe. Carefully placed by artisans, the deerskin patches make every piece unique, while natural variations such as scars and scrapes preserve the character of the hide. These distinctive markings celebrate the material’s history and the considered craftsmanship behind each jacket.
