Founded in New York City in 2023 by Thistle Brown and Callan Malone, Thistles creates refined eyewear inspired by the ease of the 1990s. Each frame is handcrafted in Japan from premium cellulose acetate, featuring an understated, quietly distinctive sensibility.
The Al is a voluminous rectangular frame defined by soft curves and bold edges. Inspired by a ’60s Jackie Onassis silhouette with a ’90s edge, it offers a refined yet glamorous look that can be worn low on the nose or higher across the brows. Crafted from high-quality cellulose acetate, each pair is finished with five-barrel hinges, UV-protective Poly Renew lenses, and is handcrafted in Italy.
Store these sunglasses in their case and avoid exposure to direct sunlight in closed spaces with high temperatures. To clean use a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Dry with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use solvents as they may alter the features of the glasses.
